Tomoyuki Nii
Director and Executive Officer, and Head of the Overseas Investments Department, SBI Investment
Currently serving as Director and Executive Officer, and Head of the Overseas Investments Department at SBI Investment, Mr. Nii oversees more than 70 portfolio companies outside Japan, primarily in the fintech sector.
He has nearly 20 years of experience as an investor, with a particular focus on fintech startups globally over the past decade. He was ranked No. 1 on the Forbes Japan Midas List in 2025.
Prior to his current role, he was involved in the launch of SBI ARUHI, the first mortgage company in Japan to leverage the internet, which went public in Japan in 2003 as part of a holding company structure.
He began his career at Mitsui Trust Bank before joining SBI Group (formerly SoftBank Finance).
