Kim Nguyen

VP People, Alloy

Your Story:

I'm a first-generation Vietnamese-American, lesbian, gender-fluid, and executive at an exceptional global company, Alloy. I'm proud of all of my identities and my work to move the needle for more folks from marginalized groups to step into leadership positions. We must do this work today to make a difference for tomorrow!

Your Impact:

I am most proud of the communities we have built at Alloy. Representation matters internally, and I am proud to work for an organization that actively works to bring diverse voices to the table at every level.
Outside of Alloy, being a part of the Pride Powerlist means representation matters at scale. There are not many people who look like me that I can look up to in my position, but we can change that with impactful work that organisations do, like Innovate Finance.

Your Advice:

Don’t underestimate the power of transferrable skills and experiences from your past that can develop your career in FinTech or if you’re looking to make a career change to this exciting industry. The key is understanding your superpowers and how they intersect with a new opportunity you’re looking to take on. The secret is tying those intersections together to tell your story. This can change the game when put into practice!
