Kate Shiner is Executive Director of Strategy, Policy and Governance at the Money and Pensions Service (MaPS).
Before joining MaPS, Kate was Chief Operating Officer of Justice Digital at the Ministry of Justice, leading the delivery of user-centred digital and technology services across the justice system. With more than 20 years' experience in central government, she has held senior leadership roles spanning policy, strategy, digital transformation and operational delivery across the Ministry of Justice and Department for Education.
Throughout her career, Kate has championed the use of technology and service design to improve outcomes for citizens, ensuring services are accessible, effective and responsive to people's needs. At MaPS, she leads the organisation's strategic direction, policy and governance, with a strong focus on how data, technology and innovation can help people make better financial decisions and improve financial wellbeing across the UK.
