Tell us your story:

I am a Senior Manager in the business tax team at Evelyn Partners, a proud northerner, a passionate foodie and a bisexual woman. I have
been a member of the S&W tax team for seven years and in that time I have met so many clients and contacts and have been heavily involved with running our I&D initiatives. My focus is on fintech and fast growth business in the finance and tech space.

I am very passionate about my job; I am passionate about the impact taxation has on our economy and I truly believe in the impact of the work we do. I strive
to add value to S&W as a place to work outside of the realms of the tax advice I provide which is why I am a member of our I&D committee and chair of our LGBTQ+ network "Proud".

Impact:

I would like to be featured in Pride in FinTech 2025 as I am a proud member of the LGBTQ+ community and a strong advocate for representation in all spaces, particularly in financial services. The S&W I&D committee was founded in 2021 when I co-founded our LGBTQ+ network Proud. We have since run many well attended events with inspirational speakers, a particular highlight was our interview with the iconic author and activist Shon Faye.

As a traditional sector, financial and professional services can be a challenging place to feel represented and through Proud we aim to make this easier day by day for our colleagues and client alike.

Advice:

Be yourself! I can never say this enough. We are all unique and we all have something amazing to bring to the party. If you are working somewhere you feel you need to hide your true self, maybe it is not the place for you. Be proud of who you are and find the company or people that allow you to do that. There are a lot of amazing ones in the fintech sector!
