What is your experience in financial services?I have 15 years experience in financial services, specialising in People and Talent leadership across established institutions and high-growth fintech organisations. I am currently SVP of People & Talent at Zilch, where I lead the global people strategy and support the business through rapid growth, international expansion and increasing regulatory maturity. Previously, I held roles at organisations such as Revolut, BDO & Daiwa Capital Markets, giving me experience of navigating complex, fast-paced and highly regulated environments. My expertise spans organisational design, executive and leadership development, talent and succession, performance, reward, employee relations and cultural transformation. Recently, I have been recognised in the Women in FinTech Powerlist and the CIPD HR30, and I am proud to serve on the Pride in FinTech Leadership Council.
What is your mentorship experience?
Developing, mentoring, and supporting people to reach their potential has been a consistent part of my career. As a People leader, I regularly coach and mentor professionals at different stages, from emerging talent building confidence to senior leaders navigating change and complex career decisions. Those I have worked with describe my approach as engaging, kind and highly supportive, with a talent for appreciating each individuals unique strengths and potential ensuring people feel valued and empowered.
Why do you want to be a mentor?
I want to help LGBTQIA+ professionals progress while feeling confident being themselves at work. Talent is everywhere, but access to encouragement, honest guidance and influential networks is not always equally available. I know how valuable it can be to have someone who listens without judgement, helps you see possibilities you may not yet see for yourself and provides practical support when navigating important career decisions. Mentoring is an opportunity for me to share what I have learned, help remove some of the uncertainty from career progression and support someone in developing the confidence to pursue their ambitions authentically.
What is your approach to mentoring?
My approach is inspired, energetic and tailored to the individual. I begin by understanding the person, their experiences, strengths, ambitions and any current challenges they are facing. Together, we will agree clear goals and turn them into practical actions, while creating space for reflection and open conversation. I will offer encouragement, constructive challenge and honest feedback, drawing on my own experience where it is helpful. Above all, I want mentees to feel guided and empowered for shaping a career that is both successful and authentic to who they are.
