He has scaled Abound from two people to a team of over 160, delivering over £1.5 billion in total lending. Abound uses Open Banking and AI to power fairer lending on its own balance sheet and via embedded lending partners, achieving up to 70% lower default rates than traditional credit-score models. Previously, Gerald was a Partner at McKinsey & Company.
