Your Story:

Joined FinTech Wales 18 months ago to create the sectors first every skills strategy, and contribute to our vision of become a global hub of FinTech excellence.

Contributed to membership growth from 30 to 120 organisations, and made crucial links across the ecosystem.

Led and Implemented several new programmes and initiatives with education, but crucially identified an opportunity to create something new in the talent marketplace for career changers; we’ve become leaders in this space in Wales.

Your Impact:

I think it’s time to show a generation of young women coming up behind me that it is ok to be a gay woman, and that it doesn’t define you, I think GenZ deserve the opportunity to “see themselves” in the workplace where previous generations hadn’t.

Your Advice:

It’s naturally an innovative forward thinking sector, and as such I’ve found it an inclusive and safe space for LGBTQIA to work. Conversely, GenZ - our most queer generation ever and our sector should encourage them to bring their whole self to work
