Etienne De Burgh

Etienne joined the Office of the CISO, Google Cloud, to help organizations understand the risks and plan the security uplift available to them via cloud transformation.

Etienne has over 20 years of experience in Cyber and Information Security predominantly in the Financial Sector. He has led and built teams for a number of Global Banks in both First Line operational and Second Line risk roles, acquiring a few bruises and scars on the way, but always growing and having fun. He has a technology background and has crimped cables, broken software, secured data lakes and risk managed cloud migrations. He has assessed cyber security strategies, evolved risk appetite, risk quantification and metrics, and tried to translate cyber security concepts to employees at all levels.
