Erica Katsambis
VP Partnerships, Railsr
Powerlist Category: Financial and Professional Services
Over the past 12-18 months, Erica played a pivotal role in transitioning Railsr from recovery to growth. She extended the customer profile into new, non-financial verticals, driving innovative use cases for embedded finance. Erica’s strategic efforts have significantly broadened the business pipeline, extending our portfolio mix into larger enterprise brands, including top tech giants - all while navigating the complexities of regrowth in a competitive landscape. Erica developed a robust channel partnership strategy that focuses on referral models, integrated resellers, & joint product development through strategic partnerships. In building close relationships with a number of front-end app developers, it has provided Railsr with speed & reduced costs for our customers, accelerating our sales pipeline. With her product partnership led strategy, it has helped us to build up our horizontal SaaS portfolio quickly. Railsr is now offering Rewards, Compliance, Credit & Insurance.
Having forged a career against social norms, as the sole breadwinner for a family of five, Erica became a passionate advocate for DE&I. In April 2023, Erica became board advisor & angel investor to Impact Ventures, an entity established to support the funding of female founders, supporting over 80 female businesses. In early 2024, leveraging her experience as a speaker, moderator, and mentor with networks like Chief and Stemettes, she was invited by G100, a global social enterprise for gender equity, to serve as UK Country Chair. During a speech at Middlesex University on Diversity, Inclusion, & Business Sustainability, she highlighted a collective effort to overturn the government’s redefinition of a High Net Worth individual, which had restricted female angels from investing in female founders. The policy was successfully reversed, and 1 year on she still mentors women from this event, shaping a more diverse ecosystem and empowering early-stage careers through her continued efforts.
