Dr Lewis Z. Liu

Dr. Lewis Z. Liu is the Co-Founder & CEO of Twin-1 AI, a Bessemer-backed start-up focused on creating digital AI twins for finance, legal, and consulting professionals, enabling them to scale knowledge, discover expertise, and automate implicit workflows. Previously, Lewis was the Founder & CEO of Eigen Technologies, a pioneer in document AI that processed over $100 trillion in financial contracts for major financial institutions and law firms. Eigen's regulatory reporting automation was the first and only AI system to receive full regulatory approval by the Federal Reserve and FDIC for straight-through automation. Lewis is a recognized leader in AI safety for regulated industries, having addressed central bank governors and AI experts at the recent BIS Innovation Summit in Basel. Following Eigen's acquisition by Sirion Labs, he served as Chief AI Officer for Sirion Labs and now advises Sirion. He is also a Mentor for Neo Ventures, one of the largest San Francisco early stage focused venture capital funds and has a semi-weekly column in City AM, where he writes about AI and society.
