Chloe Coleman

Co-founder & CEO, Vouchsafe

Tell us your story:

Chloe is the CEO and co-founder of Vouchsafe, the inclusive verification platform making identity accessible to everyone. She is driven by the belief that financial services should work for all of us, not just those who fit the system’s default.

Before starting Vouchsafe, Chloe led user research at Universal Credit, where she saw how identity barriers can lock people out of essential services. Since launching in 2024, Vouchsafe has raised £1m pre-seed funding, secured 11 customers, and pioneered new ways for people to prove who they are securely and fairly.

Impact:

The impact I’m proudest of is knowing that Vouchsafe has already enabled thousands of people to access financial services they would otherwise have been blocked from. Every time we reduce friction or open a door for someone who’s been shut out by rigid identity systems, it’s proof that inclusion isn’t just a value, it’s a measurable outcome and it gets you more customers. Inclusion is a win-win situation. I know how powerful it is to feel seen and recognised, and I want to bring that same ethos into the infrastructure of financial services. Being featured in Pride in FinTech 2025 would help amplify that message: that inclusive design is not optional, it’s essential.

Advice:

Don’t shrink yourself to fit the mould. FinTech needs people who see the world differently, and your perspective as an LGBTQIA+ person is a strength, not a weakness. Seek out allies, mentors and communities that will celebrate that difference and amplify your voice. We are natural disruptors, and the most exciting companies in this sector are built by people who challenge the default. Your lived experience is already an asset to the industry. The challenges you’ve faced and the resilience you’ve built give you a unique lens on inclusion, fairness, and innovation. The sector changes because people like us show up, and your perspective could be the thing that sparks that change.
