Blake Stephenson MP

Blake trained as a barrister but instead forged a career in The City of London specialising in financial services regulation – specifically within wholesale markets infrastructure – and before entering Parliament had a 16-year career spanning the Swiss Stock Exchange, the Financial Services Authority, Nasdaq Inc., Tradeweb Inc., and the London Stock Exchange Group. He was elected to represent Mid Bedfordshire as a Member of Parliament in 2024. In Parliament, Blake serves on both the Environmental Audit Committee and the Public Accounts Committee. He is involved in several All-Party Parliamentary Groups (APPGs) including the Pensions and Growth APPG and the APPG for FinTech. In November 2024, Blake was appointed Parliamentary Private Secretary (PPS) to the Shadow Chancellor of the Exchequer. In September 2026, Blake was appointed as Shadow Home Office Minister by the Leader of the Opposition, Kemi Badenoch, and Shadow Home Secretary, Chris Philp.
