UK Payments Delivery Company launches equity capital raise
UK Payments Delivery Company (UK PDC) has launched an equity capital raise, opening an opportunity for eligible organisations across the UK payments ecosystem to invest in the company that will help deliver the next generation of UK retail payments infrastructure.
UK PDC is being established as part of the model announced by the Bank of England to support the future development of UK retail payments infrastructure and the ambitions of HM Treasury’s National Payments Vision.
The launch marks an important next step for UK PDC as the programme moves from mobilisation towards incorporation and delivery.
Following a call for initial funders in Q4 2025, 19 organisations came together to support the programme’s mobilisation. The capital raise will provide funding to establish UK PDC and progress its initial development milestones, while giving eligible organisations the opportunity to become shareholders at a formative stage in the company’s development.
Eligible organisations interested in exploring the opportunity can find further information, including participation criteria and details of how to express an interest, on the UK PDC website https://deliveryco.uk/help-shape-the-future-of-uk-retail-payments.
Eligible organisations are encouraged to submit an expression of interest as soon as practicable.
