Emily co-launched the firm’s Fintech team in 2020 and she does a large amount of work in the broader fintech space and was listed on the Innovate Finance – Women in Fintech Powerlist 2022.

Michael Beard, Director at S&W

Mike is an experienced Transfer Pricing professional who has a track record of providing high quality advice which is both technical and practical. Michael’s primary specialism is transfer pricing policy design, helping to ensure businesses are both compliant with their transfer pricing obligations, whilst also seeking to help optimise their tax position.​Mike co-founded the Transfer Pricing team and has led a variety of significant client engagements. This has included acting as the client lead on the team’s largest account, managing their global transfer pricing compliance, all the way through to supporting a large number of fast growth businesses on their transfer pricing journey.

Jade Els, Associate Director at S&W

Jade has worked with a wide variety of fintech clients in the UK, including a number of fintech unicorns and understands the VAT complexities that fintechs face in their operations. Jade has significant experience in managing a number of fintech clients from a VAT perspective and supports them in a practical manner, in understanding their complex position around partial exemption and other VAT topics that arise for fintechs.

Natasha Karp, Director at S&W

Natasha specialises in Global Mobility, Reward and Employment tax services with a particular focus on global Financial Services organisations. Natasha joined in 2023, having previously worked at PwC and Vialto Partners. Natasha has over 16 years’ experience advising clients ranging from scale up fintech businesses to multinational banking, asset management and insurance groups. Natasha has an in-depth knowledge of domestic and cross border taxation, including assignment planning and compliance, domestic and international remote working, social security, business travel compliance, executive advisory and HMRC disputes.
