Members’ roundtable: FCA’s proposed changes to the stock exchange listing rules

The FCA is planning to change the IPO rules, and this could be beneficial to Fintechs: Innovate Finance is preparing a response to the FCA consultation CP 23/10 “Primary Markets Effectiveness Review: Feedback to DP22/2 and proposed equity listing rule reforms”, and we’d like to hear your views.

As you know, there is a much current debate regarding the attractiveness of London as an IPO venue, and Innovate Finance has alongside members been vocal on this topic. The FCA is consulting on changes which they believe will make a UK listing more competitive with other markets, such as a more permissive approach to dual class share structures, which is highly relevant to founders.It is important that the views of Fintech are heard in this discussion about the UK listing rules and we are holding an online roundtable for members on Wednesday 21st June at 9am -10am to discuss the consultation paper and to collate members’ feedback. Experts from EY will also be joining us to help discuss the proposals and answer your questions.

Following the roundtable, Innovate Finance will be preparing a submission to the FCA by the deadline of 28th June.
