General Counsel Meetup Roundtable with Baker McKenzie Autumn 2025

On Wednesday 15 October join Innovate Finance and Baker McKenzie as they host an exclusive legal/compliance roundtable session geared towards General Counsels and other senior in-house Legal and Compliance Officers.

In this session, we will discuss the theme: how to scale your business in a FCA-regulated environment. We will look at different options for obtaining suitable regulatory cover – from obtaining your own authorised status to acquiring an existing authorised entity, varying existing regulatory permissions to add new activities / products, or partnering with regulated product providers (such as regulatory hosting platforms, banking-as-a-service and similar models). We will discuss some of the key legal and compliance issues associated with these different models, share perspectives on recent dealings with the FCA’s authorisations and change of control teams, and hear from attendees around practical challenges that they have faced in moving their businesses into a regulated environment or changing their regulatory status.
