Innovate Finance Comments on General Election Announcement
London, 23 May 2024 - Innovate Finance, the leading trade association for the FinTech community in the UK, has today commented on the announcement of a general election on 4 July.
Janine Hirt, CEO of Innovate Finance said: “Over the coming weeks, Innovate Finance will be working on behalf of its members to ensure the voice of the UK’s thriving FinTech sector is heard in debates on key issues throughout this general election campaign.
“To champion and build on the progress made on FinTech policy over this Parliament, we released our General Election FinTech Manifesto, which provides three big ambitions for the next government to deliver in order to maintain the UK’s global leadership role in financial innovation and technology. We urge all parties to consider these ambitions and recognise the role FinTech can play in supporting the next government in tackling some of the biggest challenges facing the nation, from growing the economy, tackling fraud, and driving better financial wellness for consumers across the country.”
